Technology has always evolved faster than organisations

Throughout my career, I have been fascinated not simply by technology itself, but by how organisations successfully adopt it. The greatest challenges are rarely technical. They are about leadership, governance, risk, culture and making informed decisions in an environment of constant change.

For more than two decades, I have worked at the intersection of technology, information security, business transformation and programme delivery, helping organisations navigate complex change while balancing innovation with resilience.

My experience spans cyber security, information security governance, enterprise risk management, secure architecture, digital transformation and large-scale technology delivery across both public and private sector organisations. I work with executive leadership teams to develop pragmatic security strategies, implement governance frameworks, improve organisational resilience and embed security into business and technology programmes.

Today, my focus is increasingly on one of the most significant technology shifts of our generation: Artificial Intelligence.

Much of the current conversation centres on what AI can automate.

I believe the more important conversation is what AI makes possible.

Every major technology evolution has increased the value of human judgement by removing routine work. Cloud computing changed infrastructure. Automation transformed repetitive processes. Machine learning accelerated pattern recognition. Generative AI has reshaped knowledge work. Agentic AI is now beginning to transform how organisations coordinate and execute complex activities.

Yet each technological advance reinforces the same principle.

Technology can process information at extraordinary speed.

People remain responsible for making balanced decisions.

That perspective shapes everything I write.

My work explores how organisations can use technology to improve governance, strengthen cyber resilience, manage risk more effectively and make better strategic decisions. I am particularly interested in helping business leaders understand how emerging technologies can become practical enablers rather than simply another source of complexity.

Information security should never be viewed as a barrier to innovation. When implemented well, it creates confidence.

That philosophy underpins my approach to technology leadership. This website brings together my thinking on information security, AI, governance, technology strategy and organisational change. My aim is not simply to explain emerging technologies, but to help leaders understand how they can apply them responsibly to deliver meaningful business outcomes.
